HISTORY

INSTANTS is an artistic adventure through which Château Palmer and Leica Camera France are affirming their support for contemporary photographic creation. This annual residency, organised into several creative periods, offers the guest photographer total carte blanche to produce a personal artistic work, freely inspired by the ecosystem of Château Palmer, the vision and values of the estate, as well as its terroir and enlarged territory.

As an avant-garde grand cru classé in its field, Château Palmer has built its reputation on the quality of its wines and its pioneering winemaking choices. It is also renowned for its creativity, developed through ambitious artistic collaborations in the worlds of jazz and photography. In recent years, Château Palmer has been lucky enough to exhibit the world’s leading photographers and develop close ties with figures such as Sebastião Salgado, Raymond Depardon, and Guy Le Querrec. Through the INSTANTS residency program, Château Palmer is now expanding the scope of its activity and is committing itself to taking the work of photographers whose sensibilities and values it shares as far as possible.
